Albert J. Hester, 76, of Londonderry, NH, died Monday June 22, 2026 in his home with his family by his side. He was born on November 30, 1949 in Lynn, MA, a son of the late Mary (LeGere) Jenkins and Arthur Jenkins. He had been a resident of Londonderry for the past 10 years, formerly living in Revere, MA. Albert was a US Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam era. He had been employed in the maintenance department at Boston University for over 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Ann (Walsh) Hester of Londonderry; two sons, Mark Hester and his wife Tayla Drago of Londonderry, and Sean Hester and his wife Jessica of Methuen, MA; his granddaughter, Madeline Hester of Methuen, MA; two sisters, Cheryl Tarrant of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Dolly Jenkins of Saugus, MA; his nieces, Shannon Tarrant, and Danielle Tarrant; his brothers in law, Philip Walsh and his wife Donna, and Robert Walsh; and his sisters in law, Marilyn Walsh and her partner Pat Basso, and Janice Walsh. He was predeceased by his son Ryan, his sisters, Kay Hester and Maryjane Hester, and his sister in law Johanne Walsh.
Funeral services with Military Honors will be held privately for the family. He will be interred at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the JesJo Builders Scholarship fund, a fund to support students at the Medford Vocational Technical High School.
