Linda Giddens Griner, 74, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Wilcox County, Georgia with the Rev. Roy Conner officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:30 on Thursday morning at the funeral home.
Mrs. Griner was born August 3, 1951, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late James “Buck” & Inez Rutherford Giddens. She owned and operated The Flower Nook for many years and had a passion for arranging flowers. She was also an avid softball player. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children: Allan Griner (Jill) of Largo, Florida and Valerie Parrish (Curt) of Fitzgerald; seven grandchildren: Shane Griner, Justin Griner (Jana), Shawna Luke (Jeremy Fowler), Zachary Griner, Gregory Langston (Samantha), Molly Banas (Kyle) and Seth Griner; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Giddens Crews (Cedric) of Fayetteville, North Carolina; brother, Tarry Giddens (Becky) of Fitzgerald; and nieces and nephews: Sandy & Harris Newell of Fitzgerald, Windy Clark of Fitzgerald, Heather & Steve Mieno of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Amy & Trey Hudson of Irwin County, Kevin & Allison Giddens of Irwin County, Carrie Whitley of Fitzgerald, Melissa & Bruce Kelly of Bogart, and Lt Col. Michael Scott Griner, USMC of Stafford, Virginia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Rev. Ronald Griner; and two brothers: Larry Giddens and Lamar Giddens.
