HOLLIS- Deborah Lynn Reali, age 68, passed away suddenly on June 21, 2026.
Born on September 23, 1957, in Portland, Maine, to Donald Thompson and Evelyn Story Thompson, Deborah was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished friend. She graduated from Portland High School with the Class of 1976 and carried throughout her life the compassion, kindness, and warmth that endeared her to so many.
Prior to her retirement, Deborah was employed by Pine Tree Society, where she worked in the day program for adults with disabilities. She found great fulfillment in serving others and was deeply passionate about helping those in her care. Her dedication, patience, and loving nature made a lasting impact on the lives of countless individuals and their families.
Deborah is survived by her beloved husband, Steven Reali; her daughter, Heather Cloutier, and her husband, Tim; her son, Jason Gardiner; sister, Linda Verrill and husband Mark; grandchildren: Owen Bridges; Evan Bridges; Mackenzie Cloutier; Zackery Cloutier and fiancé Olivia Shepard; Abigail Cloutier; Rylee Cloutier; Christopher Reali; Phoenix Cloutier; and great-grandson Maverick Cloutier. She leaves behind countless treasured memories and a legacy of love that will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
She was predeceased by her parents; her brother, Donald “Donnie” Thompson; and her son, Steven “Stevie” Mark Reali Jr.
Deborah's life was defined by her compassion, resilience, and unwavering dedication to her family. She found joy in spending time with loved ones and took great pride in the relationships she nurtured throughout her life. Those who knew her will remember her gentle spirit, generous heart, and ability to bring comfort and happiness to others.
A lifelong fan of The Wizard of Oz, Deborah especially loved the phrase: “I shall take the heart. For brains do not make one happy, and happiness is the best thing in the world.” The quote reflected the way she lived her life—with heart, kindness, and a focus on bringing happiness to those around her.
A celebration of Deborah's life will be held at her home, 353 Bar Mills Road, Hollis at 1:00pm, Saturday, June 27, 2026. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring and remembering a woman whose warmth, kindness, and love made a lasting difference in the lives of so many.
Though she is no longer with us, Deborah's spirit will remain forever present in the memories and hearts of those who loved her.
