Lorraine (Bergeron) Norton, age 84, passed away on June 22, 2026 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born on April 21, 1942 in Chicopee, daughter of the late Rene Paul Bergeron and Bertha (Boulerice) Bergeron. Lorrain was a communicant of the former Assumption Parish. Lorraine started off as a secretary in the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (R&SVP), and retired as the Director of R&SVP, for the Valley Opportunity Council. She loved to travel, enjoyed taking trips to the beach and would often crochet hats and blankets for babies in the NICU. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Fred Norton, who passed away on June 5, 2026, her beloved grandson Michael Norton who passed away on April 22, 2026; also, by her son Michael D. Norton who passed away in 1975 and her two brothers, Jean Paul Bergeron and Robert Bergeron. She is survived by her son Paul C. Norton and his wife Linda of Springfield; two daughters, Lisa Giblo and her husband Jody Giblo of FL and Mary Beth Berrien and her husband Kevin of Westfield; seven grandchildren, Meghan, Milo, Alex, Crystal, Aaron, Morgan and Calleigh and three great grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee.
