Miriam Ebet Vazquez Martinez, 65, of Brockton, died June 18th at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. She was the wife of Jesus Martinez of Brockton.
Born in Paterson, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Hipolito Vazquez and Minerva Perez and raised by Paula Vazquez. Miriam earned a bachelor’s degree in culinary arts and was licensed in cosmetology. She was known for her skill in making cakes and was a communicant of St. Edith Stein Church. She also enjoyed creating quilts and clothing.
Miriam is survived by her two sons, Jesus Martinez and Eduardo Martinez; her daughter, Veronica Vazquez; (mother of the late Gabriel Lee Vazquez), and her three sisters, Margie Vazquez-Carr, Carmen Vazquez, and Minerva (Rosie) Vazquez-Browne, (sister of the late Engie Vazquez, Paul Vazquez and Victor Vazquez), 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral Services will be held in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street, Brockton, on Monday, June 29th, at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street, Brockton.
