Richard Conrad Letendre
December 27, 1943 – June 19, 2026

Richard Conrad Letendre, devoted father, grandfather, public servant, and engineer, passed away on June 19, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Richard proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1966 to 1972. Following his retirement, he continued his commitment to service as a volunteer with the U.S. Peace Corps in the Republic of Georgia. Upon returning to the United States, he dedicated himself to helping others through AmeriCorps, where he taught and mentored children in schools that benefited greatly from his kindness, compassion, and intellect.

Richard enjoyed a distinguished 40-year career as an Electrical Engineer. Throughout his career, he was responsible for the engineering design of numerous buildings throughout the Boston area, including museums, colleges and universities, and corporate offices.

Richard was predeceased by his parents, Donat and Leah (Riendeau) Letendre, and his brother, Ronald Letendre and his wife, Lucille. He is survived by his brother, Robert Letendre and his wife, Rachel, his former wife, Marcia (Thornton) Moeder, his children, Marney and her fiancé, Jason, Stephanie and her husband, William, Jeffrey and his wife, Clare, and Elizabeth and her husband, Anthony. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Brittany and her husband, Drew, Benjamin, Travis, and Gabriel.

Richard's legacy of kindness, generosity, service, and love will live on in the hearts of all whose lives he touched.

Richard will be laid to rest at Bourne National Cemetery with a private funeral service.
