Ronald Dickerson, 73, of Brockton, passed away on June 15, 2026, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital–Needham.
Born in Lane, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Edward Dickerson and Margaret Dickerson. Ronald was raised by his stepmother Essie Mae Dickerson when his mother passed in August of 1956. Ronald worked for many years as a Facilities Service Technician for the Brockton and Sharon Public School systems before his retirement. He was a devoted Deacon at Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Brockton and was known for his faith, kindness, and dedication to his family and church community.
Ronald was the loving father of Ronald Dickerson Jr. and his wife Cynthia, Eric Dickerson, Andrea Dickerson and her wife Kellimar Sinclair, and Tiara Bacchus and her husband Herbert Bacchus. He was also the father of the late David Dickerson.
He is survived by his sister, Doris “Dot” Witherspoon, Aunt Thelma Dozier and Aunt Mildred Cooper; ten cherished grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late James Edward Dickerson, Jimmie Lee Dickerson, and Linda Dickerson.
Viewing in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street, Brockton, on Thursday, June 25, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at Full Gospel Tabernacle Church, 452 Main Street, Brockton, on Friday, June 26, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 North Pearl Street, Brockton.
Ronald’s faith, devotion to his family, and service to his community will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
