It is with great sadness we announce that John B. Albee, 80, of Derry, NH passed away Wednesday December 17, 2025. He was born on April 23, 1945 in Littleton, NH, a son of Bertram and Viola (LaBrecque) Albee.
The third of four children, he was predeceased by his older brother Bertram Albee Jr. He is survived by his two sisters, Carla Romprey of Largo, FL and Diane Caras of Derry, as well as many nieces and nephews.
John grew up in Lincoln, NH and was a lifelong sports fan. He personally excelled in both baseball and basketball and loved to fish the Pemi River in Lincoln. Graduating from the Lincoln High School Class of 1963, he went on to earn a business degree from Husson College in Maine. Shortly after college, he joined the Army and was deployed to Vietnam for a tour of duty 1968-1969. He later became the manager of Silver Sands Campground in Chester, NH and was also employed by Windfield Alloy in Lawrence, MA in the precious metal refining department.
Following cremation there will be a family gathering to honor him with our love and to honor his wishes. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry are assisting the family with arrangements.
