
DUDLEY – Irena R. Paprocki, 101, died Saturday, June 20, 2026 in Notre Dame Long Term Care after a period of declining health.
She leaves several nieces and nephews: Virginia M. Carmignani of Dudley who was also her caregiver, Mary V. Reilly and her husband Thomas of Ashburn, VA, Katherine A. Vincent of Atlanta, GA, and Donald F. Vincent, Jr. and his spouse Dr. John Hohneker of Las Vegas, NV; many great-nieces and great-nephews, great great-nieces and great-great-nephews.. She was preceded in death by her brothers Edward W. Paprocki and Henry A. Paprocki, and by her sisters Helen Hajec, Dorothy M. Paprocki and Theresa E. Vincent.
Ms. Paprocki was born on May 7, 1925 at home in Dudley, the third child of Walter and Mary (Kozlowski) Paprocki and graduated from Bartlett High School in Webster in 1943. She completed studies at the Vesper George School of Art. She lived in Boston during her working years, returning to Dudley on the weekends and for vacations.
She worked for over 50 years as a commercial artist for the advertising department at the telephone company in Boston, retiring from Verizon in 2000.
She was a communicant of Saint Andrew Bobola Church in Dudley and, along with her sister Dorothy, sang Masses there for many years. She was a member of the Chorus Pro Musica in Boston when she lived there and participated in their international tours. She excelled at photography and loved taking pictures at any occasion. She was also an accomplished artist, specializing in oil paintings.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, June 29, from the Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Saint Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main Street. Burial will be in the family plot in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 in the funeral home on Monday, prior to the Mass.
