Doris L. (Lamarche) Lavigne, 85, of Manchester passed away at the High Pointe House in Haverhill, MA on June 19, 2026, visited by all of her loving family and friends following a lengthy battle with kidney disease.
She was born in Manchester, New Hampshire, on January 19, 1941, to George and Violet (Cote) Lamarche. She was very proud of her Catholic education and graduated from St. Anthony’s High School in Manchester, where she was also voted Prom Queen. Additionally, she was a member of the Bedford Grove Roller Skating Club for many years, whom she represented in competitions when she became a National Roller-skating Champion. Prior to retirement, Doris worked for the Town of Hooksett for many years in the payroll department. She chose early retirement to dedicate her time to her growing family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her the greatest joy that life could offer.
Doris was fortunate to meet her soulmate, Louis R. Lavigne, at a very young age, and they married when she was 19 years old. Doris’ husband predeceased her in 2023.
Together, they built a beautiful family that grew over the years to include two daughters, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Her family and friends meant the world to her.
Family time at the lake, where she delighted in cooking breakfast for everyone, was one of her favorite pastimes. She also cherished the many memories made during family vacations she planned—whether to Hampton Beach, York Beach, on cruises, or traveling abroad—as long as everyone was together. Doris was also an avid Boston Bruins fan and loved watching games with her grandchildren.
Doris is survived by her two daughters, Linda Sirois and her husband Ron, and Donna Briggs and her fiancé Bill Lucius; her five grandchildren, Kristyn Faucher and her husband Christopher, Timothy Briggs and his wife Kyah, Justin Sirois, Christopher Briggs and his wife Laurin, and Sarah Lucius; her five great-grandchildren, Eleanor, Margaret, and Josephine Faucher, Sophie Briggs, and Kash Daigle; as well as a brother-in-law, Robert Lupien, a nephew, and five nieces and their families.
She was predeceased by her parents; her sister, Annette Lupien; and her brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Annette Lavigne.
