Obituary

Thomas J. Carroll III (2/24/70-6/19/26), known to everyone simply as Tommy, died peacefully on June 19, 2026, after a heroic battle with cancer. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Karen Tessier, her cherished daughter and his “CRAZE MATAZE” Aliya Lord, his mother Kathleen Carroll of Newmarket NH, and his sisters Kacey Laidlaw (Andrew)Needham, MA and Tina Rustico (Robert) of Westerly RI.. He is also survived by his nieces Mia Rustico and Madeleine Laidlaw, and his nephews Rocco Rustico, Michael Laidlaw, and Owen Laidlaw. Tommy was predeceased by his father, Thomas J. Carroll Jr, and his brother Michael Carroll.
Tommy lived with a zest for life that was unmistakable. He was happiest outdoors, but nothing compared to the joy he found on the ski slopes. Flying downhill with the wind whipping through his hair, he wore a smile that could light up the mountain. And on the coldest days, you could always spot him by his signature rabbit-fur ear-flap hat—a look only Tommy could pull off with such charm.
A graduate of Memorial High School in Manchester, Tommy went on to earn his Associate Degree from the New Hampshire Vocational Technical College in Laconia. He spent his career as a head pressman, taking great pride in his craft and the work he produced.
But above all else, Tommy’s heart belonged to his family and friends. He treasured every moment with Karen and Aliya. He was endlessly proud of Aliya and all she accomplished, and some of his happiest memories were made together on the frozen lakes of New Hampshire, ice fishing side by side. He adored Karen, felt profoundly lucky to call her his wife, and never took that love for granted.
Tommy also had a remarkable circle of friends—tight-knit, loyal, and as close as family. He cherished them deeply, and they enriched his life in countless ways.
Tommy will be remembered for his warmth, his humor, his big heart, and the joy he brought into every room. His absence leaves an immeasurable void, but his spirit lives on in the people who loved him most.
