Kelly J. Bohaker, 72, of Derry, NH, died Wednesday June 17, 2026 at home with her family by her side. She was born on January 5, 1954 in Redondo Beach, CA, a daughter of the late Mickey and Evelyn (Lowe) Hagan. She had been a resident of Derry for 6 years, formerly living in California and Chelmsford, MA. Kelly spent many years as a gate agent with Delta Air Lines and, following her retirement, continued doing what she loved as a travel agent with AAA—a role that perfectly combined her passion for travel and connecting with people. She often reminisced about her favorite adventure: a trip to South Africa, where she experienced a safari and immersed herself in the local culture. In a gesture that reflected her generous spirit, she left behind several bags of gently used clothing for the people she met there, wanting to give back in whatever way she could. That journey was symbolic of the way Kelly lived her life. Wherever she went, she touched the lives of others with her kindness, gratitude, and beautiful soul, leaving a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by two sons, Jensen Bohaker, and Evan Bohaker both of Boston, MA; her daughter, Erica Leccese and her husband Thomas of Derry; four granddaughters, Hayden, Madison, Angelina and Camryn; two brothers, Casey Hagan of Shreveport, LA, and Timothy Hagan of Hollywood, FL; and her sister, Janalee Hagan of Long Beach, CA; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was predeceased by her husband, David Bohaker, and her siblings, Gordon, Michael, Patrick, and Marleen Gaunder.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 24th from 4 - 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 25th at 11:30am in the Riverside Cemetery, North Road, Bethel, ME.
