Obituary

Warren – Dwight F. Dunn, 94, of Nelligan Terrace, departed this world on Saturday, June 13, 2026, to join in eternity his loving wife Charleen (Williams) Dunn. Dwight is survived by his sons Darrell Dunn (his wife Anita) and Neil Dunn, his daughter Lisa (Dunn) O’Neill (her husband Dave), son-in-law Joe Fuzzell, ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Denise (Dunn) Fuzzell, son Keith Dunn, and daughter-in-law Deborah (Pandiscio) Dunn.

Dwight was born in Boston in 1932 to Doris (Gloucester) Dunn and her husband William Dunn and grew up in Worcester, MA. After high school, Dwight enlisted in the U.S. Army, then moved on to enlist in the U.S. Air Force, retiring from active service in 1971. A proud Vietnam veteran, Dwight often greeted other vets with “glad you made it home brother!” Following his military career, Dwight was a small business owner and a longtime resident of Holden, MA. He moved to Warren, MA in 2005.

Dwight loved his family, camping (especially sitting around the fire), bird watching, hunting, skiing (before discovering sunny Florida in the winter), a good joke, and good food. He made friends wherever he went and happily introduced his family to them every time he had the chance. A quietly faithful man, Dwight carried with him this Irish Blessing: “May the sun shine warm upon your face, The rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of his hand.”

Rather than be sad for our loss, we choose to celebrate his life. A life well lived.

At Dwight’s request, all services will be private. Memorial contributions in Dwight’s name can be made to assist injured veterans at woundedwarriorproject.org
