Barbara Scutellaro, age 82, of Medford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 14th, at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center of Burlington. She was the daughter of the late Armando and Susie (DeMaino) Scutellaro.

Born and raised in Somerville, Barbara later settled in Medford, where she lived for the last 30 years. She enjoyed a successful career at Somerset Savings Bank as a branch manager. During her time there, she formed and maintained strong friendships with her colleagues Souad, Fiona, Stephanie, and Michelle. Barbara loved spending time with her family, and she was an avid traveler. She enjoyed traveling on cruises, but especially treasured the trips she was able to take to Virginia to spend time with her niece.

Barbara was the dear sister of Caroline Calandra and her late husband Frank, of N. Reading, John L. McAveeney and his wife Lisa, of Medford, and the late Louis F. Scutellaro and his late wife Sandra, of Somerville. She was the cherished aunt of Susan Calandra Baron and her husband Tom, of Virginia, Daneen Calandra Forlizzi and her husband Dave, of Andover, Frank Calandra and his wife Joanne, of Wakefield, John Scutellaro, of Somerville, and the great aunt of Stephen Calandra, Paul Forlizzi, Nicole Calandra and Caroline Forlizzi. Barbara also leaves behind many friends, including her closest and dearest friend, Grace Bourgeois.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with Barbara’s family on Monday, June 22nd from 10 AM - Noon at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St, Medford, concluding with a service in the funeral home at Noon. Burial will be private.
