Obituary

John “Jack” Joseph Doyle Jr., born on August 19, 1933, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marilyn Ann Perrotti Doyle. Jack of Weston is survived by his three children, John J. Doyle III of Mont Vernon, NH, Christopher C. Doyle of Milford, NH and his wife Tracey, and Scott S. Doyle of Arlington, VA and his wife Alice; and by his four grandchildren, John J. Doyle IV, Melissa E. Doyle, Liam L. Doyle and Amelia C. Doyle.
 
Jack was born in New York City to Anne G. Welch Doyle of New York and John J. Doyle of New York. Jack grew up in Scarsdale where he worked as a paperboy and was active in scouting, becoming an Eagle Scout. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1955 with Bachelors of Economics followed by a MBA at Tuck School.
 
Jack joined the Navy in 1958. After completing Officers Candidate School he served as a supply officer on the USS William R. Rush. Based in the Mediterranean, Jack developed a passion for travel, an interest which would see him visiting over 100 countries throughout his lifetime. Jack remained active as a reservist for several decades attaining the rank of Commander.
 
Jack met Marilyn Ann Perrotti through a mutual friend in 1961. They were married on October 19, 1963. He joined KPMG in New York, transferred to the Boston office in 1965 and subsequently became a partner. After a career as a Management Consultant with an expertise in banking, Jack developed a reputation for being able to restructure and revive troubled banks. After retiring from banking, Jack served as a Board Member of Brookline Bank.
 
After a brief stint in Brookline, Jack and Marilyn relocated to Weston, where Jack was active in the community. He served on and chaired the Weston School Committee, and was Chairman of the Library Building Committee. He played a pivotal role of helping to mobilize support for the new Library. Having an appreciation for nature, Jack served as Treasurer of the New England Aquarium.
 
His interest in travel, history and culture brought him and Marilyn frequently to Europe and far flung destinations. Jack travelled well into his late 80s, his most memorable excursions being with family and close friends.
 
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to The Home for Little Wanderers, the New England Aquarium, or a charity of your choice.
 
Visitation at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., Wellesley, on Saturday, June 20, from 9:30-10:30am, followed by a brief service in the funeral home at 10:30am. The family will have a private interment at Linwood Cemetery, Weston.
