Rita (DiBiase) Donatelli passed away peacefully in the company of her loving family on Sunday at the Massachusetts General Hospital. She was 88. Raised in Decontra, Scafa, Pescara, Abruzzo, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Antonio DiBiase and Antonietta (D'Alfonso) DiBiase.

A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Rita and her late husband Camillo came to the United States in 1974 with their family. They settled in Somerville where they provided a wonderful life for their family. Rita was devoted to the care of her husband and children, loving nothing more than to gather everyone together for delicious meals and sharing each other’s company. Rita enjoyed a long career as a hostess at the famed S & S Restaurant in Inman Sq., Cambridge. She also looked forward to annual visits to her home town, Decontra, where she remained close to all of her relatives.

The beloved wife of the late Camillo Donatelli, Rita was a devoted mother to Bruno Donatelli and his late wife Marisa, Domenico Donatelli and his wife Jo-Ann, and Davide Donatelli and his wife Diana. She was a loving grandmother to Cristina, Jessica, Liviana, Joseph, Nina and Nicholas. She was a loving great- grandmother to Luca, Matteo, Nico, Sophia, and Ava.
Rita was a dear sister to Iolanda Donatelli, Nella Rulli, and the late Maria Cornelio, Mafalda Cornelio, Camillo DiBiase, Giustino DiBiase and Bruno DiBiase. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relaives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Thursday June 18th, 4 – 8 PM, with a prayer service at 6 PM.
Funeral Mass and entombment will be in Italy.
