
Ralph J. DiMuccio, 87, of Greenville passed away on Friday June 12th at his home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Camille M. ( Cantini ) DiMuccio. They had been married for 66 years.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Joseph and Mary ( Forte ) DiMuccio. Ralph was the brother to the late Ernest DiMuccio of Johnston, RI.
He had lived in Smithfield for 61 years and had wintered in Naples FL.
Ralph had been an educator with the Providence Public School system working at the Mt. Pleasant High School for most of his career. He had also been an Athletic Director, and Football and Wrestling coach.
He had graduated from Springfield College, class of 1960 where was a 4 year New England Wrestling Champion. Ralph was a former member of the Smithfield School Committee. He was a member of the Glocester Country Club in Glocester and the Arrowhead Golf Club in Naples, FL.
Ralph was inducted to the Rhode Island Wrestling Coaches Hall and the Rhode Island Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association.
Besides his wife he leaves his children Joseph DiMuccio and his wife Kristen of Seekonk, MA, Ernest DiMuccio and his wife Anne of Beavercreek, OH, Robert DiMuccio and his wife Lora of Jamestown, and Paula D’Elia and her husband Cosimo of Smithfield. He was the grandfather of Anthony DiMuccio, Alexandra DiMuccio, Dominic DiMuccio, Gabriella DiMuccio, Nicholas DiMuccio, Robert DiMuccio, Lily Fortin, Zachary DiMuccio, Maxwell DiMuccio, and Lea Fortin and great grandfather to Enzo, Gio, Veronica and Coletta.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday June 20th at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday June 19th from 4-7pm. the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville.
