Lora Jean Woods, 84, of Ventura and Ojai, California, passed away on May 13, 2026 in Thousand Oaks. Lora was born in Stockton, California to Laurence and Ardelle Woods on September 3, 1941. She became a registered nurse and worked in the emergency room at Ventura County Medical Center and Santa Paula Hospital for many years. Lora received her bachelor’s from UCLA, and later became certified in Reiki, Dance Movement Therapy and became a Restorative Exercise Teacher and an author. She enjoyed yoga, hiking, dancing and walking on the beach. Married three times she also was known as Lora Sherren, Lora Sims, and Lora Woods Lowe.
Lora is survived by her siblings, Trudy Hansen and David Woods, her children, Randy, Amanda, and Tom Sherren, her grandchildren, Gabriela Sherren, Jasmine Sherren, Isabelle Sherren, True Eder, and Tommy Sherren. She is preceded in death by her mother, Ardelle Woods, her father, Laurence Woods, and her older sister, Arlene Woods.
