Peggy Ruth Goodman, 75, of Blackshear, Georgia, died Friday, June 12, 2026, at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Georgia.
Memorial services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the Fitzgerald Church of God with the Rev. Dewain Joiner officiating and a eulogy delivered by Tim Musgrove. The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary following the services.
Ms. Goodman was born November 15, 1950, in Tifton, Georgia, to the late Jessie Bryant & Mary Ruth Allen Goodman. She was employed 20 plus years with Shaw Industries as a Machine Operator. She enjoyed working in her flower beds, spending time with her neighbors and making people happy. Ms. Goodman loved playing ball with her fur baby, Cricket and spending time with her grandchildren and her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Beanka Michelle Musgrove (Tim) and Jessie Donald Gardner Jr. (Jenna); grandchildren: April Nicole Ray, McKade Gardner and Annley Gardner; a great grandchild, Liam Nicholas Ray; sisters: Nancy Benton and Diane Benton Sirmans; her fur baby, Cricket, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: June Cooper, J.L. Goodman, Betty Browning, Pauline Goodman, David Benton, Janie Brooks and Annette Brooks.
Paulk Funeral Home, Fitzgerald, is in charge of arrangements.
