Obituary

LIVERMORE FALLS, ME - Charles J. “Chuck” Sonos, 74, formerly of Thompson, CT, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2026, in Andwell Hospice House, Auburn, with his loving family by his side.

He leaves his wife of 39 years, Diane L. (Anderson) Sonos; two sons, Jared Fournier and his wife Chelsey of Kittery, and Tyler Fournier and his wife Tanya of Livermore Falls; five beloved grandchildren, Boston, Braydn, Bryce, Bryleigh, and Layne; a sister, Cynthia J. Sonos-Bonin and her husband David of Webster; his brother-in-law, Robert Anderson and his wife Linda of Oxford, MA; a niece, Alyssa S. Bonin; a nephew, Nicholas Anderson; and several nephews and nieces.

He was born on August 24, 1951, in Worcester, MA and raised in Webster, MA the son of John C. and Sophie P. (Lentsos) Sonos and was a graduate of Bartlett High School, class of 1969. He earned his Associate’s Degree in Business in 1971 from the Andover Institute of Business in Worcester, MA

Mr. Sonos first worked as a purchasing agent for Sanitary Dash in Thompson, CT, and then as a restaurant manager for KFC in both Webster and Southbridge, MA and finally as a postal clerk in Shrewsbury, MA post office for over 20 years.

He was a former member of the Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Webster, MA.

Chuck was that rare person who was a good listener. He was soft-spoken, easy-going, and non-judgmental. He enjoyed listening to music, especially the Moody Blues and Journey. He looked forward to spending time around his pool and playing cards. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and grandchildren, who liked to perform Rap music when grampy drove them places.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 10 at 11:00 AM in Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster, MA. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery, Webster, MA. The family will receive relatives and friends in the funeral home from 9:00 to 11:00 AM before services. The family requests that flowers be omitted and instead, donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
