Shirley E. (Charron) Lessard, age 98, of Attleboro, formerly of Bridgewater and Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Foremost at Sharon. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur G. Lessard, to whom she was wed for forty-four years at the time of his death on May 11, 1995.

Born in Lowell, MA on March 31, 1928, she was a loving daughter of the late Joseph R. and Dora (Morin) Charron.

Shirley grew up and was educated in Lowell and graduated from Keith Hall High School as a member of the Class of 1946. Prior to residing at Christopher Heights in Attleboro, she was a longtime resident of Bridgewater and Mansfield. She formerly worked at Patrick Lyons Greenhouses in Foxborough and had kept the children, in the Town of Mansfield, safe as a Crossing Guard.

Shirley treasured times spent and creating lifelong memories with her adoring family. While living in Bridgewater, she was a communicant of Saint Basil’s Chapel at Bridgewater State University and while residing in Mansfield, was an active parishioner of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield, a member and two-time president of the Catholic Women’s Club, served as a Eucharistic Minister and also as a church lector.

Shirley also enjoyed traveling, reading, worldwide traveling, jigsaw puzzles and the cats that adorned her homes and offered much companionship and love throughout the years.

She is survived by her devoted children, Sharon A. Eagan of Franklin, Mary A. Lessard and her wife Lidia Leite of Attleboro, Philip A. Lessard and his wife Patricia of Mansfield, Patricia A. Paton of Arizona and Kristin A. Pouliot and her husband Normand of Rhode Island. She was the cherished grandmother of Christopher Eagan and his wife Amy of Illinois, Jennifer Law and her husband Jason of Foxborough, Haley Paton of New Hampshire, Bethany Scannevin and her husband Sean of Westford, Jeffrey Lessard and his wife Bridget of Boxford, Cameron Pouliot of Rhode Island, Alex Pouliot of Rhode Island and the great grandmother of Sean, Edward, Molly, Asher and Emma.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, June 15th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 16th at 10:00 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt Street (Route 106) Mansfield, Burial will follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford.
