James L. Dubois, 79, of Fall River, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at Sarah Brayton Skilled Rehabilitation. He was the husband of Cynthia J. (Swainamer) Dubois.
Mr. Dubois was born in Miami, FL son of the late William Dubois and the late Dorothy Stone and had resided in Fall River for over 20 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Prior to retirement, he worked highway maintenance for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Survivors along with his wife include his son: Seth M. Dubois of Westport; his daughter: Rachel L. Gruwell and her husband Johnathan of Huntertown, IN; and his grandson: Ronan O'Driscoll.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Potter Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M.
Memorial visitation will be Wednesday from 10-11 A.M., prior to the service.
Interment to follow in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
