
Alyce R. (DeSilva) Brady
Alyce R. (DeSilva) Brady, 76, of Lowell, passed away very peacefully at her home on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, with her daughters by her side. She was the widow of Daniel J. Brady, who passed away in 1988, with whom she shared nearly twenty years together.
Born in Lowell on November 20, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Joseph DeSilva and the late Catherine (Sells) DeSilva. Alyce grew up in Lowell and was a graduate of Lowell High School, class of 1967. For many years, she worked as a housekeeper at the Radisson Hotel in Chelmsford.
Alyce loved gardening and could always be found poking around the yard, tending to her plants, and mowing the lawn. She took special pride in growing her sunflowers and tomatoes.
She is survived by her three children, Cynthia McDonald and her husband David of Lowell, Kathy Salsman and her husband Steven of Missouri, and Daniel Brady and his wife Katherine of Georgia; her six grandchildren, Nicholas Lambert, Kylie Lambert, Samantha McDonald, Matthew Franzen, Emilio Brady, and Vivian Brady; and her siblings, including her sister Gayle Squeglia of Lowell, with whom she was very close.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Patrick Cemetery, Lowell.
