Obituary

Richard A. Lemos, 75, of Scituate, passed away on May 11, 2026, at the Morgan Healthcare Center in Johnston. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph and Doris (Liberty) Lemos.

Richard grew up in Johnston and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. He would later earn his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island and then go on to build a long career as a respected real estate agent. He was known for his outgoing nature, witty sense of humor, and appreciation for life’s pleasures.

He previously had a passion for skiing and traveling, always eager for a new adventure or destination. Richard also enjoyed relaxing with a good cocktail and cigar, along with sharing stories and laughs with those around him.
He leaves behind his brother, Thomas Lemos and his wife, Allison, of Glocester, RI, and his beloved niece, Jillian Wiggill and her husband, Elijah, of Jonesville, NC.

Richard will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, humor, dedication to family and country, and the lasting impression he made on all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday June 20th in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Visitation will be held from 10am to 11am. Interment will be held at a later date in the RI Veteran’s Cemetery, Exeter.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Ronald McDonald House New England.
