Bertha R. Demers, 95. died June 5, 2026 at Home Health & Hospice Care following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Manchester on February 11, 1931 the daughter of Michael and Eva (Dorais) Davis.
She worked along with her husband Robert as secretary for his trucking operation, later, when they opened Demers Garden Center. She was an avid crocheter, with her friends, making blankets for her family and friends and also comfort blankets which she brought to nursing homes.
Family, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, meant the world to her.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert A. Demers on August 11, 2012.
Family members include three daughters, Diane Holmes and her husband Edwin of Londonderry, Joanne Bouchard and her husband Richard of Goffstown, Suzanne Chapdelaine of Manchester, three sons, Michael Demers and his wife Tina of Manchester, Robert Demers and his wife Jacqueline of Londonderry, Richard Demers and his wife Patti of Manchester, sixteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren.
A graveside committal service will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026 at 10 am in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd.
Memorial donations may be made to the Sisters of the Precious Blood, 700 Bridge St. Manchester NH 03104.
