Sandra “Sandy” Lee Leamer, 79, of Cherry Tree, PA went home to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 5:58 a.m.
She was born February 9, 1947. Daughter of Wilmer Rummel and Erma (McIlwain) Rummel.
Sandy attended the Uniontown Church of Christ.
She worked as a cook for Live Well Estates Personal Care Home until she retired in 2011. Sandy was active on the Cherry Tree Borough Council from 2004 to 2022. She was a member of the Cherry Tree Cycle Club and loved riding their Harley Davidson with her husband, Larry.
Sandy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was known as “Sasa” to her four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Her kindness, quick wit and spunk will be remembered by her family and friends.
Surviving are daughters: Lisa (Kevin) Hutton of LaJose, PA; Tami (Tom) Lykens of Williamsburg, PA and son, Eric Leamer of Cherry Tree, PA; four grandchildren: Carlie (Aaron) Williams of Morrisdale, PA; Tyler (Deidre) Westover of Emigh, PA; Heidi (Mitch) Canby of DuBois, PA and Alaina (Kelly) Smith of Westover, PA and seven great grandchildren: Keagan, Jaxson, Ryatt and Leland Smith; Rowan and Scarlett Molitsky and Odin Snelick.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Joann Coy; brother James Rummel and her husband, Larry Leamer.
Family and friends will be received from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026 at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA, where following the visitation a 1:30 p.m. funeral service will be officiated by Pastor Albert Brown.
A private family interment will follow at East Ridge Cemetery.
