Barry J. Booker, 64, of Swansea, peacefully passed away at home on Sunday, June 7, 2026. He was the son of the late John H. and Sylvia L. (Reed) Booker.
Mr. Booker was born in New Bedford and had resided there for many years prior to relocating to Swansea. He was an avid WWE Wresting fan. He enjoyed horseback riding and yard saling. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for always living his life to the fullest of his abilities.
Survivors include his 4 brothers: John H. Booker, Jr. and his wife Susan, Bruce E. Booker and his wife Kim, Brian T. Booker and his wife Sherrie and Glenn S. Booker, all of New Bedford; his sister: Cheryl A. Ryan of Ocean City, MD; along with nieces and nephews.
The Booker Family wishes to extend their thanks to Beacon Hospice, Cornerstone Adult Day Health and Advocate's, Inc., especially Alysha Hill, Ken Carvalho, Philipa and Ashley and the extended staff on Oak Street for the compassionate and dignified care that was given to Barry.
Graveside service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, June 12, 2026 at Acushnet Cemetery, Acushnet at 10:00 A.M.
