Georgann R. Blais, 62
Dateline: Mansfield, MA Georgann R. (Ings) Blais, age 62, a lifelong resident of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully at home on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Born in Attleboro, MA on March 12, 1964, she was a loving daughter of the late Frank G. and Rita B. (Lake) Ings. Georgann grew up in town and was a 1982 graduate of Mansfield High School. For over twenty years, she was a familiar face at Shaw’s Supermarket in Mansfield, where she enjoyed working as a meat clerk. Georgann’s family always came first and were truly the focal point of her life. She enjoyed gardening, raising chickens at her home in Mansfield, watching cookie video’s and most recently took up the hobby of coloring. She is survived by her devoted children, Sara A. Blais of North Easton and Joseph T.G. Blais of Mansfield. She was the cherished and proud grandmother of Tony Zarrella, IV. She was the dear sister of Shirley J. Wagner and her late husband William Wagner of Foxborough, Gordon D. Ings and his wife Barbara of Mansfield, Diane R. Cole and her husband Daniel of Attleboro and the late Gerald G. Ings. She was the much-loved aunt of Tammy, Shannon, Ryan, William, John, Gerry, Lacey and Dustin. She was the former wife of the late Fred T. Blais. A service in celebration of her life will be held at a later date and time to be announced at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 143 Lincoln Street in North Easton. Funeral home visiting hours are omitted and those wishing may remember Georgann with a donation in her memory made to the Mansfield Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 25, Mansfield, MA 02048.
