William "Bill" Keleher
William "Bill" Keleher, age 72, of Franklin, Massachusetts, formerly of Medfield, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026.
Bill was the beloved husband of Maryellen Keleher and the loving father of Kristen Page and her husband, Matthew Page, of Medfield; Matthew Keleher and his wife, Hannah Keleher, of West Roxbury; Patrick Keleher and his wife, Camille Keleher, of Norfolk; and Michael Keleher and his wife, Julia Keleher, of Pembroke.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, Matthew and Carol Keleher of Marshfield. He is survived by his two brothers, Matthew Keleher and Kevin Keleher.
He was the cherished grandfather, known affectionately as "Papa," to seven grandchildren: Maeve, Siobhan, Liam, Sophia, Madelyn, Grace, and Delaney. Nothing brought Bill greater joy than spending time with his grandchildren, creating memories, sharing stories, and celebrating their accomplishments. He treasured every moment with them.
Born in Roslindale, Massachusetts, Bill attended Holy Name School and Catholic Memorial before graduating from Northeastern University with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. He spent many summers in Green Harbor, Massachusetts, where he developed a lifelong love of boating and the water. As a young man, he worked as a lobsterman to help pay for his education, demonstrating the strong work ethic that would define his life.
Bill went on to serve the City of Boston as a Boston Police Officer, rising to the rank of Lieutenant. After being injured in the line of duty, he was forced to retire from the department. Never one to sit still, Bill built a second career as a well-known and respected handyman throughout Medfield, and the surrounding communities.
Whether he was out on the water enjoying a day of boating, helping friends and neighbors with a project, or spending time surrounded by family, Bill lived a life marked by hard work, generosity, and devotion to those he loved.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 19, 2026. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend Invitations will be sent out shortly.
