
Mark J. Perry, age 61, of Lowell, a former longtime Tewksbury resident and retired Tewksbury Police Sergeant, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
He was the beloved husband of Carrie A. (Mazza) Perry, with whom he would have celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary on August 28, 2026
Born in Arlington on March 25, 1965, he was the son of former Tewksbury Police Detective, the late H. David Perry and the late Ruth I. (Hoey) Perry.
Mark was raised in Tewksbury and graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School in 1983.
In 1988, After graduating from college, Mark began his career in law enforcement as a Police Officer. He was later promoted to Detective and in 2003 to the rank of Sergeant. Mark continued serving the Tewksbury Community until retiring in 2020.
He enjoyed numerous activities including cooking, boating, golfing, fishing, snowmobiling and most of all, he treasured being the “Best” uncle to his many beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife Carrie, he is survived by his siblings, Jeffrey Perry and his fiancé
Michelle Ragone, of Derry, NH, Kimberly Silk and her husband Stephen, of North Andover, Deborah Guttadauro and her husband Paul, of Tewksbury and David Perry and his wife Karen, of North Andover: his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Trudy and James Mazza, of Tewksbury: his sister-in-law, Joell Mazza,: his brother-in-law, James Mazza, Jr.: also many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Calling hours are Monday, June 8, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury. His funeral procession will begin on Tuesday, June 9, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by his Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main Street, Route 38, Tewksbury. Services will conclude with interment at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lowell.
