
Wayne Norman Simpson, 82, of Brockton, passed away on May 22 at Boston Medical Center–South. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret Simpson.
Born in Brockton, Wayne was the son of the late Norman Simpson and Evelyn (Bergeron) Simpson.
Wayne was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and served during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he worked for 29 years with Airco Gas Company, beginning as a truck driver before advancing to salesman and later District Manager. After his career with Airco, he worked in computer networking. Wayne was a member of the 49ers Club in Bridgewater and enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
Wayne is survived by his two sons, Christopher Melia and John Moran; his five daughters, Heather Edeland, Linda Pagden, Susan Keith, Debra Rice, and Christine Rice; his brother, Thomas B. Simpson; and his three sisters, Elaine Freeman, Norma Baldner, and Barbara Haynes. He was also the brother of the late Peter Simpson, Richard Simpson, and Gerrie Cuddy.
In addition, Wayne is survived by 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his beloved dog, Bowser.
Wayne was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed.
Following Cremation, a Memorial Service will be held at the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street, Brockton, on a date and time to be announced.
