WORCESTER – Mrs. Jean D. (Cosenza) Cummings, 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 2 at the St Francis Home surrounded by her loving family.
Jean was born on February 7, 1935 a daughter of the late Nunziato and Angelina (Riggieri) Cosenza. She was the loving wife to the late Donald E. Cummings.
She was educated through Worcester schools, graduating from Fanning Girls Trade School, where she also worked for over 40 years as the school clerk.
Jean was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Loreto Church for many years.
She is survived by two sons, Donald Cummings and his wife Debra, James Cummings; a daughter, Geraldine Jason; a sister, Silvia Gerardi; a sister in law, Lisa Cosenza; longtime friend, David Firmen, six grandchildren, Matthew Cummings and his wife Michalina, James Cummings, Erica Cummings, Nicole Cummings, David Jason and Leah Jason and her fiancé, James Maloughney 4th; three great grandchildren, Olivia, Andrew, and Lisa; also many nieces and nephew.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Mary Simmarano, Louise Fulginiti, Virginia Gallati, John Cosenza and son-in-law, David Jason.
Her funeral mass will be on Monday, June 8th, 2026, at Our Lady of Loreto- Mt Carmel Church 33 Massasoit Rd Worcester at 11:00am Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester.
