
Catherine M. (Loncrini) Mahoney, R.N., age 77, a resident of Tewksbury for 40 years, formerly of Woburn, passed away at the Lahey Clinic & Medical Center on Monday, June 1, 2026.
She was the beloved wife of Thomas G. Mahoney with whom she celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary this year. They were wed on April 7, 1984. She was also a loving and devoted mother of Caitlin E. Mahoney, N.P.
Born in Springfield on July 13, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Atanasio “Gino” Loncrini and the late Mary D. (Jackson) Loncrini.
Catherine was raised in Springfield and graduated from Springfield Cathedral High School and the Providence Hospital School of Nursing.
Catherine began her nursing career at the Salem Hospital in Salem, MA and later worked at Massachusetts General Hospital, Tufts Medical Center, Boston Medical Center and the Lahey Clinic & Medical Center.
She was an avid traveler and loved exploring new places with her family. Catherine was able to explore many remote corners of the world and was always looking for her next adventure.
She loved attending Red Sox and Celtics games with her daughter and cheering on her teams.
Catherine was a proud member of the American Nurses Association.
In addition to her husband and daughter, family members include her brothers, Dennis Loncrini of Southwick and the late Gary Loncrini: her sister, Linda Oleksak, of Southwick: her nephew, Joseph Oleksak, of Southwick: her sister-in-law, Karen Queally and her husband Sean, of Canton and their children, John J. Queally and his wife Jennifer, of Norwood, Christopher Queally and his wife Nichoel, of Mission Viejo, CA, and Paul Queally and his wife Nancy, of Alexandria, VA: her sister-in-law, Maryellen Lennon and her husband Arthur, of Rathfarnham, Ireland and their children, Jonathan and Daniel Lennon.
Calling hours are Tuesday, June 9, from 4-8 p.m. at Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral procession will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10, at the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St., Route 38, Tewksbury. Services will conclude with interment at Tewksbury Cemetery, 172 East St., Tewksbury.
