Khadija Souza
Khadija Souza, a woman whose brilliance and heart spanned continents, passed away peacefully. Born in the vibrant landscapes of Morocco, she later embraced the United States, embodying the truest sense of being Moroccan by birth and American in spirit.
To know Khadija was to know a force of nature. Fluent in five languages and armed with a Master's in Business Administration, she possessed an extraordinary intellect that propelled her to great heights, including serving as the Chief of Staff for a prominent phosphate company in Morocco. Yet, her most profound work was driven by her compassion. She brought that same executive brilliance to her role as Chief of Staff at a homeless shelter for women and children, where she fought tirelessly for the vulnerable.
She remained a steadfast pillar of support for her family back in Morocco, always ensuring they were cared for, while simultaneously building a legacy of service in her adopted home. She is survived by her devoted husband, Edward Souza, and her beloved son, Youssef, who was the light of her life. Her legacy of unconditional love, fierce independence, and profound empathy will continue to inspire all who were lucky enough to cross her path.
Services will be held at Lowell Cemetery on June 3rd. We ask that you honor her memory by doing a good deed for someone in need today.
