LACONIA ---- Robert William Lindstrom, 96, of Laconia, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.
He was born on January 26, 1930, in Everett, MA, to the late Gustav and Elsa (Johnson) Lindstrom.
Robert lived a long and accomplished life marked by dedication, intelligence, and service to others. He spent his professional career working in engineering and research for a variety of employers, where he earned the respect of colleagues and peers through his knowledge, strong work ethic, and integrity.
Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army. His military service was a source of great pride throughout his life, and he carried the values of honor, discipline, and commitment with him long after his years of service.
Known for his thoughtful nature and warm spirit, Robert will be remembered by those who knew him as a kind and intelligent man who valued family, hard work, and lifelong learning. He also embraced life’s adventures and enjoyed skiing, sailing on the ocean, golfing, and traveling. Whether exploring new places or spending time outdoors, Robert found great joy in the experiences he shared with family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved nieces Ruth and her husband Ted Steensen and Elaine and her husband David Belanger, who will cherish his memory and hold close the many memories they shared with him throughout the years.
Robert was predeceased by parents Gustav Lindstrom, Elsa (Johnson) Lindstrom, his wife Helen Lindstrom, brother Harold Lindstrom, and nephew Ralph Lindstrom.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
