Obituary

Stephen Webster, 68, passed away peacefully at his home on April 26, 2026, following a brief illness.

Born in Manchester on June 1, 1957, Steve was the son of Leach R. and Dorothy (Condylis) Webster. He grew up in Manchester, attended local schools, and later continued his education at Rivier University.

Steve dedicated more than 45 years of his life as an engineer with Sanders, Lockheed Martin, and later BAE Systems before finally taking the step into retirement to enjoy life a little more.

He was a longtime member of Intervale Country Club, where he spent countless hours trying his best to become a good golfer. Although he would probably argue otherwise, he was usually outshined by his son Kevin — except for that one time. Of course, if strokes were involved, Steve somehow transformed into a PGA Tour pro overnight.

More than anything, Steve will be remembered for the kind of man he was. He would do absolutely anything for anyone without hesitation. He was the kind of father, grandfather, coach, and friend who made people feel supported, loved, and important.

To his son Kevin, he was not only a father, but the greatest baseball coach he could have asked for. Some of the best memories were watching Steve “get thrown out” of games after arguing with umpires just to fire the team up. The knuckle curve he taught will forever live on — passed down through future generations along with the stories that came with it.

Steve endured unimaginable loss in recent years. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Carlene D. Webster, on December 15, 2023, and by his daughter, Shauna M. Webster, on October 23, 2023.

He leaves behind his loving son, Kevin M. Webster, and wife Paula of New Boston, along with seven cherished grandchildren: Arin, Shawn, Eddie, Lucy, Benjamin, Gavin, and Corbin. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Sherry Gianitsis and Brenda Tucker and her husband Wayne; brother Michael Clark; nieces Nicole and Lisa; and nephews Jesse, Walter, Cam, and Tyler.

Steve’s family and friends will remember him for his humor, generosity, loyalty, and the way he always showed up for the people he loved. The stories, lessons, and laughter he leaves behind will continue to live on through everyone lucky enough to have known him.

A party to celebrate Steve Webster will be held at Intervale Country Club on May 30th, from 1-3pm.
