John J. Biagioni of Newport, RI, formerly of Medford passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026. He was 79 years old. Born in Boston, he was the cherished son of the late Severino and Ritarose (Schmidt) Biagioni.

Prior to his retirement, John was employed by the Department of the Navy as a technical writer. John was a graduate of Malden Catholic High School, Class of ‘64 and a graduate of Tufts University in Medford, Class of ’68 and was a member of the Newman Club at Tufts. He enjoyed reading and had an extensive stamp collection.

John was the dear brother of Paul Biagioni of Lynn, Thomas Biagioni of West Bridgewater, Kenneth Biagioni and his late wife Marianne of Little River, SC, and Mark Biagioni of Somerville. He was the adored uncle of Brenda, Kenneth Jr. and the late Manual.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, MA, on Sunday, May 31, from 4-8PM.

A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 5 at 10:30AM, in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, MA. Please proceed directly to the church. Services will conclude with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
