Anthony "Tony" P. Farland, 61, of Manchester, NH, passed away following a lengthy illness on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Hanover Hill Nursing Home, Manchester. He was born on August 5, 1964, in Derry, NH, a son of Robert Farland, Sr. and the late Gail (Kendall) Farland.
Tony’s love for music, laughter, and the people around him made him unforgettable to everyone who knew him. He cherished every moment spent with his family and friends. Tony's greatest pride was his son and grandson. He loved watching professional wrestling, often trying out some moves with his brothers, trying to take on the persona of Macho Man Randy Savage. When he was young he was involved in Judo, participating in competitions.
One of the many ways he made people feel special was by giving them unique nicknames that always seemed to stick, bringing laughter and closeness to everyone around him. Known for constantly cracking jokes and making others laugh, he brought warmth, humor, and happiness wherever he went, leaving behind countless memories that will be treasured forever.
In addition to his father of Derry, Tony is also survived by his son, William Farland of MA, his grandson Lucas; one brother, Robert Farland, Jr. and his wife Terry of Derry; three sisters; Loretta G. Beattie and her husband Allen of Sandown, NH, Vicky L. Cassidy and her husband James of Allenstown, NH, and Kathy A. Moore and her husband the late Donald of Franklin, NH; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his step-mother Shirley Matteuzzi Farland and brother Joseph Farland.
Following cremation, memorial calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 from 4 – 6 pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry.
