The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 31, 2026, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.

Born June 8, 1946, in Tifton, Mrs. Flournoy was the daughter of the late Tully George Evans and Lois Dillard Evans. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Benjamin “Ben” Hill Flournoy; and one brother, Leland Stanford “Buddy” Edelen, Jr. She was a loving homemaker; and she was a lifelong member of New River Baptist Church in Tifton, where she taught children’s Sunday School for 50 years and served the Kingdom faithfully.

Linda was the Proverbs 31 woman, rising early each day to start her tasks with gladness. She loved her family and children well, always ready to demonstrate the love of Jesus in her home, church and life. Always a lady, she demonstrated love with strength and dignity.

Mrs. Flournoy is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Brian Marchant and Georgia and the Rev. Flaviu Ferche, all of Tifton; and three grandchildren, Felix Ferche, John David Marchant and James Benjamin Marchant.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the caregivers at Legacy Village in Tifton and to the nurses and staff of Eternal Faith Hospice, especially her nurse, Whitney Chung.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial gifts may be made to Called to Care, P. O. Box 2396, Tifton, GA 31793, to honor her great love for children.

Proverbs 31:25-30
25 Strength and honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
26 She opens her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
27 She looks well to the ways of her household and eats not the bread of idleness.
28 Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.
29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that fears the Lord, she shall be praised.
