SEBAGO- It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Dorcas "Dee" Young, who left this world on May 23, 2026. Dorcas was surrounded by the serenity of Sebago Lake, a place loved.
Born on October 29, 1952, in Danbury, Connecticut, Dorcas was the daughter of Franklin and Patricia Young.
She worked at both Data General and Sysco in the Portland area. Her true passion was animals, especially her horse Flirt. She spent many days at the "Farm" working and enjoying the farm life.
She is survived by her younger sister Sara and brother-in-law Greg of Westbrook as well as her older brother, Jay and his wife Sue of Bradenton, FL. Also, many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She is predeceased by her sister Andrea.
Please honor Dorcas's memory, by hugging your kids and appreciate the small moments, to find joy in the everyday, and cherishing the bonds we share with one another.
Dee's spirit will live on in our hearts. May she rest in eternal peace, cherished and never forgotten.
