Mrs Mary (Mulkerrin) Cormier, 90, Londonderry NH, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026 at her home with family at her side. She was born in South Boston, the daughter of Irish immigrants, Stephen and Delia (McDonaugh) Mulkerrin. She resided in Londonderry the last 10 years with stops in Chester NH, Salem NH, Pelham NH, Millis MA, Dedham MA, West Roxbury MA, and Dorchester MA. She was an active member of the Catholic Church at each location. Her love reached far beyond her family, leaving behind many close friends and friends in prayer. Her published book “Prayin’” shares her lifelong devotion to faith through personal life stories. She cherished her Irish heritage and was quick with a joke or a smile. Mary loved with all her heart and will be missed by many.
She is the devoted widow of Frederic J Cormier Sr. She is survived by her daughter Mary Brigdit Cormier of Londonderry NH, and son Kevin Cormier and wife Danielle of Andover MA. She is the fun and loving grandmother of 5 grandchildren; Nina and her husband Matt Barden of Amherst NH, Katie and her husband Bryan Leone of Cape Coral FL, Stephen Cormier and fiancee Joy Achuonjei of Astoria NY, Kaitlyn Cormier of Denver CO and Dehlia Cormier of Andover MA; 3 great grandchildren and godmother to many. She is survived by her sisters Kathy and husband Herbert Lannon of Millis MA, Margaret and her husband Paul Ciavola of Franklin MA; and brother Peter Navis and wife Mary Lee of Walpole MA, as well as her sister-in-law, wife of John, Ann Mulkerrin of Woburn, MA. She is predeceased by her husband Frederic J Cormier Sr, son Frederic Cormier Jr: 3 brothers John Mulkerrin, Peter “Sonny” Wallace and surviving wife Phyllis, and Michael “Jackie” Wallace: and 2 sisters, Mary Wallace and Barbara Cunningham.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026 at 10:00 am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Avenue, Derry.
