Richard J. Talbot, age 68, most recently of Sharon, a former longtime resident of Norton and Mansfield passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 4, 2026 at the Boston Medical Center-South in Brockton. He was the former husband and best friend of the late Michele A. Mello, who died on 23, 2022. Born in Boston, MA on November 26, 1957, he was a loving son of the late Thomas A. and Rita W. (Burns) Talbot Richie grew up in Mansfield and was a graduate of Mansfield High School. He was a talented carpenter and painter by trade and also sidelined in scrapping. He loved spending time with family and friends, was an avid sports fan, enjoyed relaxing and grilling at home and always had a special love and interest for cars and motorcycles. He is survived by his devoted daughters, Rachel Hodson and her husband Josh of Attleboro, Alicia Talbot of Sharon and Janice Poitras and her husband Matt of Cumberland, RI. He was the cherished grandfather of Jacob, Nathan, Kelsey, Matt, Declan, Tyler, Madison, Alexis, Ariana and Sierra. He was the dear brother of Barbara LeBlanc and her husband Raymond of Florida, Thomas Talbot and his wife Jacqueline of Foxborough, Helen Wellman of Mansfield and her late husband David Wellman and Robert Talbot of Mansfield. He is also survived by his loving nieces, nephews and close friends. A service in celebration of his life will be held at a later date and place to be announced. Visiting hours are omitted and burial will be private.
