
Grady Everett Pearman, 86, of Chula passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at his residence. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Tift Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Jason Loggins will officiate.
Born July 4, 1939, in Chula, Mr. Pearman was the son of the late Marvin Sewell Pearman and Mayoma Sumner Pearman. He was a Navy pilot. He held a B.S. of Agricultural Engineering from the University of Georgia and a M.S. of Agricultural Engineering from the University of Kentucky. He was a farmer and owner of Pearman Corporation, where he designed and manufactured peanut harvesting equipment. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chula.
Mr. Pearman was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian McAllister Pearman; his parents; Marvin Sewell Pearman and Mayoma Sumner Pearman; one brother, Thomas Lee Pearman, Sr.; a sister-in-law, Mary Anderson McAllister; and a brother-in-law, Don Sinclair.
Mr. Pearman is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Amy Pearman of Apex, North Carolina and their children, Bryce Pearman and Natalie Pearman; and Brent and Lori Pearman of Tifton, Georgia and their children, Marisa Pearman and Rylan Pearman; one sister, Gloria Pearman Sinclair of Grand Islands, Florida; a sister-in-law, Ann Turner Pearman of Forsyth; and a brother-in-law, Elvin Curtis McAllister, Jr. of Tifton.
