
Ghazi Rostom, 82, of Worcester died, Monday, May 4th at home. He is survived by three brothers; Rostom Rostom and his wife, Mary of Sydney, Australia, George Rostom and his wife, Amal of Worcester and Albert Rostom of Chekka, Lebanon; two sisters, Mary Rose Georges and her husband, Antoine and Ayda Roukos and her husband, Antoine all of Worcester and many nephews and nieces. his sister-in-law, Camilla Jeorgi of Lebanon. He was predeceased by two brothers Joseph Jeorgi and Elias Georges.
Ghazi was born in Chekka, Lebanon, the son of Niazi and Emily (Shadeh Boutros) Rostom and came to Boston in 1972, later settling in Worcester. He had worked as a machinist for Montrose before retiring. Mr. Rostom was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Maronite Catholic Church and was an avid reader, enjoyed painting, gardening and exercising. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, May 9th from O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with his funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mercy Maronite Catholic Church, 341 June Street. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. His calling hours will be held on Friday, May 8th from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
