CENTER BARNSTEAD ---- Robert William Nelsen, 72, of Ripple Road, passed away at his home on Monday, April 20, 2026, with his wife Irene by his side.
Robert was born on October 9, 1953, in Cleveland, OH, the son of Walter and Mildred (Leonhart) Nelsen.
Bob had been a professional musician for 15 years before giving his life to the Lord. He continued with his love of music playing in different Praise Teams for local churches.
He enjoyed most types of music, cooking, and talking to everyone, anywhere and at any time.
Robert is survived by his sons, Christopher and his wife Kailey Ovard, Nick Nelsen, and Noah and his spouse Matt Nelsen, daughters Kathryn and her husband Robert Holthouse, Krystina and her husband Jon Hatcher and Angie Nelsen, brother Don and his wife Elaine Nelsen, sister Cathy and her husband, John Orfe, grandchildren, Jordan, Ellie, Calvin, Lucas, Rachel, Ryann, Declan, Sophie, Elsa, Christian and Abigail, and stepchildren, Jennifer Felix and her husband Shawn, Erica Marden, Jonathan and his wife Gale Marden, Maria and her husband Jake Cheney.
In addition to his parents, Robert is predeceased by his nephew Shawn Anthony Orfe.
The family wants to thank the team at the Payson Center for Cancer Care in Concord for the care they provided to Bob and to Granite VNA for the care and kindness they provided to Bob during his last days.
A Graveside Service will be held at the New Hampshire State Veteran Cemetery, in Boscawen, NH at a later date.
