Jean L. (Frazier) Dennis, age 81, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late William R. Dennis, to whom she was wed for forty-six years at the time of his death on August 20, 2011.
Born in Jacksonville, Florida on March 13, 1945, she was a loving daughter of the late Cecil G. Frazier and Dorothy J. (Marquardt) McLeod.
Jean grew up and was educated in her hometown of Canton and for the past fifty-seven years, had made her home in Mansfield. Mrs. Dennis was a dedicated homemaker to her adoring family and could always be counted on to help her elderly neighbors with the cleaning of their homes.
A devoted Christian, Jean was a faithful communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield. Her family was always the focal point of her life and the happiness she received being a grandmother was more than words could say. Jean was also a talented seamstress, enjoyed knitting, baking, bowling and will always be remembered for her special family gatherings.
She is survived by her loving and devoted daughters, Linda J. Dennis of North Attleboro, Jean L. Brown and her husband James of Attleboro and Cheryl M. Maimone and her husband James of Walpole. She was the cherished grandmother of Devin Brown, Andrew Brown and Nathan Brown. She was the sister of Cecil Frazier, Robert Mcleod and his wife Susan, Ann McLeod, John McLeod and is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
Services, along with burial at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield, will be private and visiting hours are omitted.
