Sindy Ann Calhoun Summers, 62, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Pruitt Health in Ashburn. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. Summers at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Isabella Baptist Church Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. Rickey Wells will officiate.
Born July 9, 1963, in Ozark, Alabama, Mrs. Summers was the daughter of the late Catherine Phillips Thompson and her stepfather, Harold Thompson. In addition to her mother and stepfather, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Shane Summers; and one son, Gene Martin. She was a sales representative for Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society; and she was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Summers is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Katy Summers and Sarah and Chris McCrary, all of Tifton; one daughter-in-law, Jennifer Martin; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Shari and Jim White of South River, New Jersey and Carol Mathis of Bloomingdale; five grandchildren and their spouse, Jay and Alexis Langford, Autumn Martin, Brittney Martin, Hunter McCrary and Skyler McCrary; and one great-granddaughter, Helaina Kate Langford.
