Frederick R. Halpy, age 68, passed away on April 19, 2026 at Baystate Medical Center. He was born on October 2, 1957 in Springfield, son of the late Alfred J. Halpy and Barbara (Karam) Halpy. Fred worked in construction for many years. He enjoyed music and horse racing, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He is survived by his brother Joe Halpy and his wife Joann of Feeding Hills; nieces Barbara Hollimon of Texas, Nikki Carson of North Carolina, Abbey Halpy of Feeding Hills and nephews, William Carson of North Carolina, Joseph Halpy of Feeding Hills and Richard Halpy of Springfield. He is predeceased by his sisters Anne Halpy and Amanda Topolski. All services will be private at a later date. The Grise Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
