LIMES, Lauren Elizabeth (Joyce) of Brandon, Florida, passed away far too soon on April 8, 2026. She was the beloved wife of Andrew M. Limes.
Lauren was the devoted daughter of Thomas and Patricia (Young) Joyce of West Roxbury, Massachusetts. She was the loving sister of Kristen Drury and her husband Michael of West Roxbury; Thomas Joyce and his partner Ryan Walsh of Norwood; and Kaitlin Joyce and her wife Megan of West Roxbury. She was the cherished daughter-in-law of Fred and Sylvia Limes, and sister-in-law of Philip Limes of Illinois, and Tami McCormack and her husband Jim of Ohio. She was also a devoted aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Lauren was born in Boston, raised in West Roxbury. She pursued a career in healthcare and found her passion in pediatric dentistry. She loved caring for children with special needs undergoing dental procedures - a role that reflected her patience, compassion, and deep commitment to others. True to her Boston roots, Lauren met her husband Andy on the Green Monster at Fenway Park, where a tall Yankees fan was blocking the view of a devoted Red Sox fan. They were married on Veterans Day, November 11, 2011, after winning the ‘Wedding to Remember’, beginning their life together at the very place where they first met in Boston. Lauren loved telling the story about the lengths their family and friends went through to ensure every vote counted. She was a devoted military wife and a constant source of strength and support throughout Andy’s time in the Air Force. Together, they planted new roots in Florida where she embraced their life and the sunshine it brought. She never missed a chance to call and remind her family that she no longer owned a shovel when the New England winter rolled around. Lauren valued maintaining close connections which extended far and wide, in part due to a large extended family, as well as a military family formed along the way. She was lovingly referred to as LJ by those closest to her, a nickname she fully embraced. Knowing Lauren was knowing how much she adored their dogs, Madison, Hallie, and Stella, whom she always made sure were constantly snuggled and spoiled. Lauren was known for her warmth, intelligence, and sense of humor and will be dearly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St., West Roxbury on Monday, April 20th from 4-8pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Tuesday, April 21st at 9am, followed by a Funeral Mass at Holy Name Parish Church at 10am.
