Daniel Martinez, born in Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully at the age of 67 on Thursday, April 9, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family and held in God’s grace.

He was the beloved son of Juanita Pagan and the late Pasqual Martinez. Daniel was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Myra, with whom he shared 35 blessed years of marriage rooted in faith, love, and unwavering commitment.

Above all, Daniel was a dedicated father who found his greatest joy in his children: Latasha, Cubie, Lakesha, Deena, Philip, Daniel, and Sebastian. He led his family with strength, kindness, and a faithful heart, leaving behind a legacy of love that will continue to guide them.

He was an adoring brother to Robert, Aeren, Ivan, and Ida, and a proud grandfather of 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy and pride.

Daniel’s life was a testament to love, family, and faith. He will be deeply missed, but his family finds comfort in knowing he rests in eternal peace with the Lord.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ocwieja-Robles Funeral Home, 4256 S. Mozart. Additional parking is available at Five Holy Martyrs Church, 4327 S. Richmond St.
